  1. if you explain the working, and regular repacks, packing card, packer ratings ed.... the student should feel confident.
  2. I think, the flare is a bit late. But you where flying in a downwind turbulence/gust Mayeby some obstacles in front of you? Trees/ building? and be prepaired...PLF
  3. as a student. mostely the instruction, is going for emergy procedure. Not at all the different DZ's arround. Some DZ's have high pull alti. with the AFF and higher exit alt. for S/L. with the Turbine aircraffts. And the students have to take the steering lines, with a line-over. I had 3 line overs with a tandem canopy, (1 a realy pretty) and was always able to clear it with the steering lines. I think most of the time, a student canopy, is not gonna start spinning that fast. Like the non eleptical Tandem chutes. So if you feel confident, go for the steeringlines. it safed me more then 3 repacks!
  4. Why? the had more then one miss fire
  5. So, you don't jump with AAD?
  6. I was travelling, skydiving ,for a year in Australlia. And Skydive Ramblers is a great DZ. Do it!
  7. the flaring altitude depends on the wind speed at the time of landing. In high winds, 15Ft is way to high.In low winds, 3 Ft is to low. For F111 student canopys, try the "3 seconds rule". The point you think(and see) 1,2,3 ground. You start flaring the canopy. and the hight is gonna be always different.

    Emporia Brava

Great DZ. One of the better in Europe. Sea, sun, skydive...........
  9. Change the order. PULL PULL at the right ALTI PULL STABLE
  10. Whats wrong with 2500ft, straight on top of the DZ.??? Safer altitude? Now you have more time to handel a problem, then On theminal velocity with a pull at 3000/3500ft.
  11. Does'nt mather. On the end, PUSSY still alive
  12. When you have your next repack. Ask the rigger to check the pullforce of the pilot chute. min 2.27Kg(3lb) max5.45Kg(12lb) Ones you go out of the "normal" box position. The risk of a inadvertent opening is higher. Safety starts with a good gear
  13. A properly mantaind system helps. Disconect 3 ring. Make the risers flexible. And clean the cables. No soft housings. And hard housings in the risers, for the end of the cables. And yes, if its go's wrong. Do something. Even pull the reserve on the end. All the guy's and girls with the hooke knife. I think most of them had no spinning malfunction with an eleptical. It go's realy FAST!
  14. I hope you learnt something about it. CHECK YOUR GEAR BEFORE YOU JUMP!!!!!!!!!!!

    Stalling

You can stall a canopywithout any problem. If you do it on a safe altitude. The stall of a canopy, is the same as the opening of the canopy. And yes you can have a malfunction with it. So never to low!!
