  1. can't see the forest for the trees, huh? ok, one more time for the cheap seats: your assertion that it is unrealistic for a teacher to be unbiased and good at his/her job at the same time is absurd. in fact, one of the qualities that makes a good teacher is the ability to remain unbiased. [praying voice]please, let this sink in.[/praying voice] "Don't talk to me like that assface...I don't work for you yet." - Fletch NBFT, Deseoso Rodriguez RB#1329
  2. it's probably accurate that you are ignorant and an extremely slow learner. it doesn't matter what you say, this is likely the realistic situation here. "Don't talk to me like that assface...I don't work for you yet." - Fletch NBFT, Deseoso Rodriguez RB#1329
  3. you can feel free to give it your best shot whenever you muster up the courage little lady. "Don't talk to me like that assface...I don't work for you yet." - Fletch NBFT, Deseoso Rodriguez RB#1329
  4. A student.... one... who recorded him because the teacher does not suscribe to his particular viewpoint. I listened to the student this morning on Fox News.. Kinda reminded me of how the students were required to report on thier teachers in 1930's Germany.. BWAAAHAHAHA! never fails... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin's_law "Don't talk to me like that assface...I don't work for you yet." - Fletch NBFT, Deseoso Rodriguez RB#1329
  5. You and Mike are proposing something that not only impedes the learning process, but is completely impossible. You can't remove the human element from the class room without removing the humans. i give up. carry on grasshopper...carry on. you are either arguing for the sake of arguing or you have no comprehension of what we're saying. either way, good luck. 6. http://www.freefall.com/ this is the wffc website. it should help with some of your questions.
  7. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2108279#2108279 once again: it is inappropriate for any teacher, regardless of the opinion. "Don't talk to me like that assface...I don't work for you yet." - Fletch NBFT, Deseoso Rodriguez RB#1329
  8. wrong again broken record...maybe if you say it a hundred more times, we'll get bored and write you off. "Don't talk to me like that assface...I don't work for you yet." - Fletch NBFT, Deseoso Rodriguez RB#1329
  9. i fully understand what you are trying to convey but, you are ignoring what i'm saying. believe whatever you want; that's your choice. "Don't talk to me like that assface...I don't work for you yet." - Fletch NBFT, Deseoso Rodriguez RB#1329
  10. no, that's incorrect. the difference is that in the setting of being a HS history teacher, one needs to be impartial and needs to discuss issues with the goal of furthering knowledge, fostering rational thought, and instilling excitement about learning. that's not what this teacher did. he used his position to shape his students viewpoint to match his own. i would say that's wrong no matter what the opinion of the teacher is/was. 11. yes...i see that you don't see the difference, which is, as mneal said, a rather large one. "Don't talk to me like that assface...I don't work for you yet." - Fletch NBFT, Deseoso Rodriguez RB#1329
  12. that's hardcore! i'd at least live in a trailer at the dz! j/k "Don't talk to me like that assface...I don't work for you yet." - Fletch NBFT, Deseoso Rodriguez RB#1329
  13. yeah, I'm not losing any sleep over this one. I lumped all 4 of the freedom of speech ones together - writing, saying, assembly, bitching to the gov - all are obvious forms of that right. It's a curious method they used to evaluate. In my suvey, I'd ask them to pronounce Apu's last name, and what his wife's name is. If they can't, I'll conclude that Americans know their rights better than they know the Simpsons. why stop there? how about, "what's the 15th word homer says in episode 34? clearly, that would show that americans know volumes more about their own constitution than the simpsons. point: americans are entrusted with voting for the leaders who run the country. i find it alarming that only 1 in 4 could name at least two freedoms provided by the first amendment. that's pitiful no matter how you slice it. 14. it's hard to read this kind of stuff and not think that america is doomed... http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,186455,00.html "Don't talk to me like that assface...I don't work for you yet." - Fletch NBFT, Deseoso Rodriguez RB#1329
  15. doesn't work like that. the only concern is what the air speed relative to the speaker is. if you set a speaker up and then moved air past it at the speed of sound, you would not be able to hear it. it would be like dropping a rock into a body of water that is flowing at the same speed that the ripples propagate. from your pov, the ripple would be standing still while from the ripple's pov, it would be moving just as it should. 16. it depends on whether your car had an enclosed cabin. the air in an enclosed cabin would be traveling at a velocity of zero relative to the speakers so, you would hear the sound just fine.
