It's only just out, but this looks like an interesting possibility, as there is a cabled release. The advantages - small size and low weight, interchangeable lenses, with stabilization. I'm planning on heading to Atmosphair, at St-Jean Chrysostome in Quebec, for their wing suit weekend August 1-2. The jump plane is a Caravan. The event is announced on the French side of the website http://www.atmosphair.com/nouvelles/index.php?section=1&lang=fr, but anglos like me will be there..

I have the Alpha 300, and jumped it for the first time this weekend. It seems to work just fine. I bought a remote cable from one of the chinese sellers on Ebay. Cost me $4.00. I just cut the cable and made my own hand switch after that. Because of the half depressed/fully depressed difference in the button positions, when you make your own switch with a two point contact, the focus is always active. I jumped it on a 4 way, and it worked fine. I then tried jumping it with my wingsuit, but didn't find my hand switch worked so well with using the gripper on the wingsuit. I need to work that part out better. I don't really want something in my mouth though.

Just wondering if anyone has tried the Caplio GX100 camera for skydiving yet. Any reports would be helpful! thanks Paul
