  1. I've ordered a few things from Baddog Services also. If David sells it you can bet he's got the best price, and fast on the shipping, ships USPO priorty. You have to order from his web site only and pay with PAYPAL . The phone number on his web page is the number to his real job I guess, but he'll take calls and answer all your questions there. He's great to deal with.
  2. I practice my procedures probably a half a dozen times from the time I gear up till exiting the aircraft, in my mind or in my hands, I have even practiced while in freefall a time or two. I've had only had one cutaway and was mentally ready when needed, Practice saves!
  3. The best "Hop N' Pop", pulling as soon as you exit, I've done yet was from 9500ft doing a cross-country to the DZ from 7 miles out when the winds were +50 mph at the top a few weeks ago. Eight of us took 2 182's, setup a nice, tight two plane jump run and jumped all together and "Hop N' Pop", we all flew back at almost sunset, we left our toggles set and flew with our rear risers to save altitude. It was a little clouldy midway back and the views were great, everyone made it back to the DZ, it was a good time.
  4. Here in Indianapolis our DZ will jump if it's 40 degrees or better. I jumped yesterday to work on finishing my "A" also. I dressed warm and it wasn't too bad, other than the 4000 feet of ice I did most of my freefall through, my face stung for about a half hour after that. Maybe I should have bought a fullface helmet and not the Z1 EVO I got? Most of our DZ is going to Deland for Thanksgiving, hope there's no ice there!
  5. I started jumping about 7 weeks ago, I was hooked on skydiving before I even made my first jump! After my 8th jump I bought a Javelin BOC rig with a Spectre 210 main, PD Reserve and Cypres for $2000. I now have 48 jumps, by the time I have my 100th jump my rig will be paid for verse renting student gear at $40 (altitude included) per jump. I really love the soft, on heading openings, and the way it snivels. I'll most likely jump this for my next 300-400 jumps and be very happy. I found it a little tricky to pack a ZP at first but kept at it. The main thing is finding some with the right WL for your size, I started with a 288 Manta then went to the 210 Spectre. I'm 6'3" #185 and the 210 Spectre was perfect for me, remember your looking at your "exit weight" when you size something for your self. Also I'm 38 years old, I'm not no spring chicken anymore, I may never down size and be happy with the spectre I have. Blue Skies!
  6. I sent my cypres in last month to SSK and I got mine back two weeks to the day I sent it, a friend sent his in the day after me and got his back the day after mine also, But someone else I know sent his in and it had problems and SSK had to send it back to Germany, He's still waiting and it's been almost two months now.
