In this country if you use marijuana, outside Rx marijuana, you are breaking the law and run the risk of going to jail. To me that is a real problem not HYPOCRISY.

If a person is having difficulty accepting life on life's term to the point that breaking the law and going to jail is a viable path to cope, something is wrong in their psychological makeup. The same goes for alcohol or any mood altering substances.

I am serious. He obviously has a problem. He is breaking the law. I would offer my assistance. If he did not want my services I would come back and see what is being posted on dropzone.com.

Over the years I've provided counseling services to many homosexual substance users. Regardless of the venue, secular or Christian the goal is the same, help the client find his / her way out of bondage.

I once worked with a psychiatrist in a psych hospital, 1994-95. He did not believe marijuana should be or would be legalized. His reasoning was social, not personal health. He believed that chronic users lose their initiative to aspire to excellence. I always thought it would be good for our business. Like planned obsolescence in merchandising.

I'm all for legalizing marijuana and letting people decide for themselves whether or not to use it. Freedom can be a bitch, but it definitely beats the alternative.

July 2, 2009 – Massachusetts gay activist Barney Frank (D) not only wants to force all Americans to affirm the lifestyles of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, drag queens, and transsexuals, but he also wants us to get high on marijuana, too.

Apparently, Barney longs for a return to Woodstock, that sex, drugs and rock music orgy that took place on a farm in New York in 1969. Let’s all “turn on and tune out” – as President Obama leads our nation over the cliff into a permanent recession and a fascist economic system.

Barney wants Congress to pass the Marijuana Patient Protection Act (H.R. 2835), which will prevent the federal government from prosecuting users of marijuana in states where the use of the drug for medical reasons is legal. He is also pushing for passage of the Act to Remove Federal Penalties for the Personal Use of Marijuana by Responsible Adults (H.R. 2943). This would eliminate federal penalties for the possession or transfer of “small amounts of marijuana.”

Well, I understand what you are saying. However, the U.S. Constitution provides for a national defense military. What you call free is compensation for service.

When I was in basic training I was told that we served in a nondemocractic organization to preserve liberty, justice and freedom. The government should control all that makes up the military. Its size is directly dependent on the control of the U.S. Congress.

Now I receive health care benefits from the VA and they treat me well. However, I would hate to see that system implemented throughout the entire nation. Why? Because it would be squandered on people who didn't earn it.

Furthermore, because of the problems inherent in the VA system, I also carry private insurance. The VA is my primary care physician. When I need special treatment I turn to the capitalistic health care system. So far so good.

It's tough. But, it gets easier as time goes by. Clean time strengthens clean time. I quit drinking, drugging and cigarettes at the same time. I found that running helps relieve the homicidal tendencies. That was very important for me because I'm terrified at the thought of being in jail. My first run was 0.6 miles. I hyperventilated to the point of tunnel vision but did not pass out. I kept at it and a year later I had one year of clean time and I could run 10 miles.

Hang in there. You are fighting the spirit of bondage and addiction. This is one of the minor ones, no match for skydiver.

Operation in the spiritual realm is by nature outside the bounds of rational thinking. It is irrational. The spiritual thinker is outside the bounds on accepted intelligence.

This begs the question, why would someone desire to live in that realm? What is the payoff? Not money, not power, it makes no sense. Yet there are those who chose, as Scott Peck described in his book, The Road Less Traveled. that direction.
