  1. Ok, so 61% of 39% lack imagination. . .
  2. Well, guns were banned and there was a large police presence. However, there was still a small bit of violence that appears to have come from the left. 33 arrests for disorderly conduct and assaulting police officers - basically for throwing rocks and bottles of piss at the police. I guess that's an improvement. Good job kids! I can't seem to find much on the actual right-wing event itself as it's been overshadowed by the counter protest. Here's a decent story that pretty much sums it all up: http://boston.cbslocal.com/2017/08/17/boston-free-speech-rally-speakers-john-medlar-fight-supremacy/ It doesn't appear that it was intended to be the white-power rally that everyone on the left expected. It doesn't appear to have been anything like the "unite the right" rally in Charlotsville. This is just the same stuff that's been going on since Trump came on stage - just a bunch of drama queens holding up nazi signs for their favorite alt-right counterparts. The true test will be when KKK and Neo-nazis show their face again, along with armed Militia hate groups standing face to face against armed Black Panthers. We should probably try to avoid that as much as possible, but like I said, most don't want to fight anyway, they just wanted to beat their chests and be heard. Let's just hope that there aren't people within the establishment that would deliberately orchestrate an environment that intentionally pushes theses groups over the edge.
  3. Yeah, and if modern human traffickers treated their sex slaves well, and bought them nice things, and kept them in luxury hotels and made sure the johns never did anything they weren't comfortable with then maybe we wouldn't have a problem with forced prostitution. Of course we'd have a problem with it, now. But we're talking about a time when even politicians thought it wise - and legal - to settle disputes with organized shootouts. Pretty much everything about life back then sucked compared to life today. There may have been a time when castration with a rusty spoon may have been acceptable, but things change. Like you said, it's all about timing. . .
  4. Right, good point. Another example - the number off KKK groups dropped from 221 groups down to 72 within 4 years, and then back up to 190 within a year, and then back down to 130 the next. It's doubtful all those people in those groups suddenly had a change of heart, and that type of fluctuation all but proves it. I suppose the SPLC could be more detailed, but their main purpose is to bring awareness, good enough. Personally, I think it's all the same douche-bags changing names depending on whether or not they can fit organized hate into their schedules. Interesting how the spikes seem to coincide when everyone was losing their jobs. . . Fair enough, but I don't think this election really had much to do with the evangelical right and their religious values. Things like abortion and LBGT rights for the most part seemed to be put on the back burner for this election. Just saying.
  5. Yep, not worth it for the lawyer, which is why they'd say you don't have a case, and the restaurant owners know this, which is why the problem persists. . . Yep, now suddenly it's worth it for them. Some of these owners/managers are slimier than lawyers. One woman (manager of a gas station) had 3 other businesses and a nice big yellow house on a lake. Her car broke down right before her vacation for her birthday. The assistant manager sent around a birthday card telling every one of their minimum wage employees to give money, sign it, and mark how much they gave. One employee said that he's not giving anything, the manager said, "fine, then you can't sign the card." He said, "OK!" lol. Shitty thing is, is that these people were given shitty hours and barley made $800/mth, and the manager actually took it! If I was that manager, I would've fired my assistant on the spot and gave the money back. . .sick people.
  6. Ya, I feel the same way, but this is really nothing new. The New Black Panthers feared the same during the RNC. They wanted to bring guns to their protests because they were threatened, but nothing came of it. With the emergence of these blatantly racist & ignorant nazi fucks, the stakes are higher. It's a volatile situation that only takes one pull of the trigger to set off a race war. But ultimately, life is still too good here in the U.S. Most don't want to fight. They just want to be heard. That one shot would send practically everyone on both sides scrambling for their lives. "Ok, Ok, damn, shit, it ain't that bad. . ." It just sucks. The left was playing into it all so well, turning into a bunch of raving lunatics. But sure enough, the right outdoes them with their fucking KKK Nazi tiki torches, seriously, fucking nazis? The left will never let the right live this down, nor should they. The Washpo had an article the other day about "Why the American Left gave up on political violence." I mean ya, it's not like they're blowing shit up anymore, but c'mon, really, are you fucking kidding me? The right had a good chance at surviving Trump, but not now, not with these Nazi clowns in town - idiots. . .
  7. This is among the most offensive things I've ever seen posted here. Yes, by today's standards I can see how that is offensive, but back then, they were probably living better than most white people at that time, even as slaves. . .then to ultimately be paid on top of that? Hmmmm, I dunno, even THEY might disagree with you. You have to wonder, if all slaves were treated like they were, would the North have even opposed it at that time? See that's the problem, someone pushes buttons and everyone loses it and says things like, "You're full of shit!" But Jakee had no problem addressing the issue like a normal, rational human being from the 21st century. That's the left that I've come to know and love. Thoughtful, intelligent and educated. Able to address issues without violence and personal attacks. The world could use a bit of that right now. But then again, from what I can tell, he seems to have more "one warnings" than anyone else, yet he's still here. . .
  8. First off, props for taking the time to read and address the issue rather than giving the typical knee jerk reaction. I'm trying not to judge Stephens by today's standards, but ultimately it seems like he violated his conscience (sinned) in order to maintain power, and/or out of fear of "retribution." . . .Definition of a Politician.
  9. Ya, I know what you're talking about - I saw that too, but their numbers seem to be conflated for some reason. They show 130 active KKK groups vs the 193 black separatist groups, but if you look at their "hate map," they're lumping in the 99 Neo-nazi groups with the anti-government crowd, along with 78 racist skinhead groups, 100 white nationalist groups, and 43 neo-confederate groups. So given THAT, there are certainly more white hate groups than black hate groups, but nevertheless, black hate groups are disproportionately higher than white hate groups. Black separatist groups have consistently been on the rise since Obama's inception - from 81 in 2007, to 112 in 2008, all the way up to a record breaking 193 by the end of his presidency. But I doubt you're gonna hear about THAT "basket of deplorables" coming from the hard left - after all, "black hate groups are a response to white racism, so it's OK!" But thankfully, the SPLC isn't biased when it comes to the level of hate in this country. . .
  10. If widespread violence and murder persisted, then no doubt that would be the response. Fortunately tho, the suspect was apprehended shortly after the incident and the crowds soon dispersed. No tank needed. However, I wouldn't be opposed to having tactical units in place during future demonstrations to serve as a deterrent to anyone that may think of pulling the trigger in these volatile situations. Perhaps posting surveillance notices may help keep people in check as well.
  11. Nope. Your pics show a response to riots, looting and arson.
  12. You mean like these white people?
  13. I agree. All this does is give them attention and validity. Now there will be lawsuits, more news reports, probably a few interviews etc. And they are probably going to show up in the surrounding area regardless. It'll be ill-prepared and disorganized - a disaster just waiting to happen. A big concern of mine is if these protests start rearing their heads near areas with large populations of black people. Could you imagine if the counter-protest in Charlottesville consisted of mostly black people, and some KKK member mowed them all down. . .game over.
  14. I think many people may have never known, or at least forgotten what real racism looks like. As conservatives see these groups in action, it may allow them to examine/recognize remnants of their own subtle prejudice. As they begin to distance themselves from these hate groups and publicly condemn their behavior, they move further away from the fringe. Now that we once again see real examples of true racism, liberals and groups like the BLM may get over their perceived racism and stop looking under the rocks for anything that may resemble racial injustice. Suddenly, conservatives that publicly condemn these hate groups don't look so bad anymore, and it opens up an avenue for positive communication. The enemy of my enemy and all that jazz. . . Perhaps this could be Balance Theory in action? We've already seen it with the ACA. People that were once staunchly opposed to Obama care, are now willing to work together with the left primarily out of disdain for Trump and his failure to get it together. They've even stopped using Obama's name for good measure.
  15. While I'm no fan of the BLM for some of the same reasons you've listed, I'm finding it hard to lump them in with The New Black Panthers, The Nation of Islam, The Israelite Church of God in Jesus Christ, Israel United In Christ, and other black separatist hate groups (that for some reason or another seem to have a preoccupation with hijacking various religions - what's up with that?) I'm not so sure I'd even call them racist as much as I would the poster child for misguided anger. And they have. In 2016 465 white people have been killed by police, 148 were mentally ill and 22 were unarmed. 5 of those unarmed were also mentally ill. 233 black people have been killed by police in 2016, 34 were mentally ill and 17 were unarmed. 2 of those unarmed were also mentally ill. Granted, blacks are still killed by police at a higher rate than whites, but if you are going to take population into consideration, you also have to consider the higher population of police in larger cities where you're more likely to be killed regardless of your race, by police or otherwise - cities where the majority of black people reside. Same here. I've had 15 year-old white friends beaten by police because they were thought to be in a gang - the police were trying to get info. Another was handcuffed to a gurney and choked nearly to death for mouthing off to a cop. Another was handcuffed, beaten and maced repeatedly. Another one was on a bad mushroom trip and fighting 5 cops that surrounded him. (Long story, but we're thankful we can look back and laugh at it) But this was a long time ago, about 20 years ago. We didn't worry about cops killing unarmed suspects. It's a relatively new "phenomenon." I doubt my white friends would've fared as well today. There may have only been 4 or 5 unarmed people killed back then compared to 20 or more starting around 2014 and increasing to almost 50 in 2016. Billvon made a good point earlier. We just shrug it off as tragic, but understandable. This is where I think BLM is beneficial to society. They may only focus on black lives, but they're bringing attention to the issue. They don't just shrug it off. There has been a steady increase in police homicides since 2000 regardless of race. This leads me to believe that there has either been a change in policy or a change in the mindset of cops. Perhaps young X'ers and old millenials just aren't up to the task of being good cops. Maybe they're just too soft, too afraid, or not trained correctly. My dad is old school. He's been known to take a punch or two and then subduing some punk kid instead of just shooting him. Those are the types of cops we need. I just wish we could all come together and find solutions to the problem, rather than exploiting racism to gain an edge in the "us vs them" game that it is. Here are some solutions that might help. For starters. If you're a pussy, don't become a cop. Here are the others: http://useofforceproject.org/#project
  16. Interesting. I was flipping through pictures on some site the other day and remember that one. Initially I just saw the hate group and a cop doing his job. I didn't even notice his race until you pointed it out just now. I guess I'm just weird like that, but thanks! It really is a profound image once you take the time to reflect on it.
  17. +1, good post. I'd say that that, along with the rest of your reply is a pretty accurate assessment. But the question is, do we just let him figure it out and learn to live with a nuclear NK, or do we prevent it? Who's to say that the next leader will be as "rational" as KJU. Sometimes I wonder if Obama would've dealt with KJU differently if he knew Trump would one day become president. . .
  18. I honestly have no idea what you're talking about or why you're responding to me. But then I know nothing about baseball. I guess what you're saying is that Trump won, despite having fewer votes and that I'd campaign the same way? Yes, that was the second part of the analogy. The first part was about team loyalty. If Hillary lost the popular vote but won the election, I'm not so sure the left would want to change them. They would most likely be praising an electoral system that prevented someone like Trump from being elected. It would be the republicans crying about changing the system. It's just like the pick-off move in baseball I was talking about. When the home team does it, nobody complains, but when the away team does it, the fans jeer from the stands. Personally, I think this election was a bit of an anomaly. The dems actually stand to gain the most with the electoral college. All they have to do is nominate a normal, walking, talking adult with the slightest semblance of sincerity and they'd sweep the rust belt, thus securing a landslide victory over and over again. But then again, I'm sure they'll do their best to prop up someone even stiffer than Pence in the next election. . . Even a traditional dem like Jim Webb could've easily beaten Trump, but the left couldn't get over their hoplophobia and perceived racism. . .they are just so hellbent on perfect adhesion to political correctness that they end up with some fake automaton that can barely speak like a normal human being. . .
  19. It won't make a blind bit of difference to people like rush or Ron. Trump could be led away in chains and it would STILL be Obama's fault. Muller could find signed and fingerprinted documentation from Trump stating explicitly that he'll give Putin a reacharound every other Monday in return for help during the election and it'll STILL be fake news made up by the evil liberal media. And after all that Ron will state that it is STILL better than Hillary being president, and rush will STILL claim that Hillary has committed crimes and should be locked up - despite the fact you're absolutely right. It's simply not relevant to the current events... Facts and official findings have no place in their world. It's all like America's Favorite Pastime - Baseball. When the home team tries to pick off the guy at 1st, it's all silence, but if the away team does it, Boooooooooo! In baseball, it doesn't matter if you have 20 hits and only 5 runs if they have 10 hits and 6 runs. . .they still win. In this game: Rush/Ron/Trump: 62,984,825 hits - 304 Runs You/Hillary: 65,853,516 hits - 227 Runs Don't pretend you'd play the game differently. . .
  20. You'd think that after Trump won, rednecks would stop bitching, just like you'd expect thugs to stop bitching after Obama won. What an insufferable lot. . .
  21. Geeze, you'd think that whenever a bunch of thugs or rednecks come together in a clash of violent protests there'd be some kind of a shootout where they all kill each other off, given how "guns are so out of control in the country. . ." Oh well, too bad. . .time for plan B.
  22. Ya, here's a brief summation: Atheist/Skeptic: "Faith/Religion is a mental illness!" Theist/Beilever: "Not necessarily, science shows it to be an inherent human characteristic." Atheist/Skeptic:"Ok then, they're not crazy, they're just stupid! Because Unicorns! Mars!"
  23. Hypochondriacs have symptoms of something all the time. If that symptom involves actually seeing the invisible people they're having a discussion with, then maybe they're on(to) something. . . Typical cases of psychosis are found in those that share common genetic disorders. Some have physical brain defects, while others have hormonal issues. Many within the science community believe that the idea of "God" developed as an evolutionary benefit. It's a human characteristic, not an illness. I'm sure many atheists have experienced it in one way or another. They may instinctively "pray" during times of duress or briefly have thoughts about the "other side" when a loved one dies. You can either choose to suppress that side of your humanity until it dies with you, or you can explore it.
  24. If that's true, then the majority of humans are defective and only atheists can be of sound mind. There is typically some physical evidence needed to diagnose someone with mental illness - usually a chemical imbalance of some sort - Do you have such physical evidence to back up your claim? You could be infamous!
