  1. To let everyone know the Skyvan was cancelled due to issues beyond our control. We have replaced it with Skydive Arizona's King Air. That will cut the turn time by 20 minutes (our local van is very slow). An Otter and King Air will be flying over Nebraska all weekend. See everyone there!!!!
  2. (finishing off the last thought).....because we should plan on getting on loads with known "Altitude boosters".
  3. Make sure you tell me what loads you're on so I can manifest on them!!
  4. Besides $18 jumps, I just arranged to have the NOTAM go up to 16K AGL so we have flexibility to react if the pilot gets flashed some BoObIeS. We'll give the pilot discretion to give extra altitude based on how well he is entertained.
  5. The packing area will be the same as usual - that huge red tarp. I wouldn't say padded, but it's much better than the concrete.
  6. Superman said he'll be rockin' the flock on Friday! Maybe I'll bust out my first Bird jump the weekend of the boogie.
  7. Let's check it out: * Turn time on the Arizona otter will be about 18 minutes, same plane as at Couch Freaks. The Van is not quite as fast. * You should see a load of skydivers fly every 15-17 minutes. That's enough to get anyone off. * We have Freefly (Joe Reinhard) and RW (Dan Myers) organizers waiting to get jumpers of similar level together. * Credit card machine will be avilable. Fee is minimal- 3 or 4%, have not got the official number from the Airport Authority yet!!! Same, if not cheaper than last year. Cash is king. * RV hookups are not confirmed but we have an electrician working this weekend on it to see what we can do! * We have a private shower with a hot water heater - same as last year. Delta faucets. Come live in the lap of luxury with LSPC ;) * We have a manifest program to run both planes smoothly. * All club members are working 4 hours to make sure we keep the groove going and you in the air!! * We'll be in the air by 10 on Friday. "Secret" jump Thursday after the Otter arrives at Plattsmouth ;) * What else do you want ?? More beer? Oh yeah - we're doing that too!!!!!!! * Better facilities? Taken care of!!!! The hangar has more packing room and the landing areas are bigger. See you in the air. I'll be on the first Thursday and Friday loads - will you????????
  8. Cory didn't mention below that our boogie on July 15-17th has an Otter from Arizona and a local Van. Stop out of you're still in the area!!!
  9. It will be nothing like last year. By adding the Skydive Arizona Otter, we'll be able to drop 92 jumpers per hour compared to 32 last year. Double, triple, even quadruple manifest. BRING IT ON!!!! Your friendly boogiemeister - FF3 :)
  10. Right on! It's all about supporting each other in this sport.
  11. Last year Ray Dutch from DeLand gave first timers lessons and a few flock dives for the experienced. Our flock has grown since then and they are looking to play with other birds in the sky. We'll have our traditional SkyVan as well as an Otter from Skydive Arizona to get you up in the air as quick and often as possible!! Frank
  12. The Nebraska Boys (Joe, Bruiser, Jeremy and Pinky) wanted me to pass on info about our boogie that we'll be holding July 15-17 in Plattsmouth, NE. Unfortunately I couldn't make it down to Oklahoma because I was negotiating with the folks at the Plattsmouth Airport! Check out the info at: http://www.skydivelspc.com/boogie/boogie.htm
  13. Yes, Lincoln Sport Parachute Club (LSPC) will have a Bird-Man Instructor at our 2004 boogie. Ray Dutch from DeLand will be up to give instructional jumps to newbies as well as to organize some flock dives. Bird-Man is providing about 10 suits so no worries about suit sizes. The boogie is being held in Council Bluffs, IA on 7/16-7/18. More info will be posted at www.skydivelspc.com in the next few days.
  14. We have contacted Bird-Man and are waiting for them to find an instructor. We'll let everyone know when it is a "For Sure." Eric - I lost your e-mail, good thing I found you here. If you are a BM instructor now, call Erika and see if something can be worked out.
  15. I jump at QCSC when I am in the area. This DZ is fun! Everyone has a great attitude and is safety conscious. Although the jumper base is small, you will find them to be very friendly and open to jump ideas. If you want to get away from the big "factory" DZ's for a weekend and enjoy jumping for the reasons you started, stop by QCSC.
