  1. That was a good series. Hats off to the Sharks. Pulling for a Ducks/Kings Western final next year! Maybe our teams won't choke eh Rich?
  2. Very cool! I liked your writing style. Not overly descriptive, yet not frivolous. Very interesting wording that leaves you thinking. Glad you joined the big family.
  3. I'm with Derek. Real freedom will never be safe. I still choose freedom.
  4. On a positive note, I think skydivers are some of the most rational, analytical, sane people I have met in any sport. Keep thinking, keep jumping, keep loving life.
  5. Yet another King in legal trouble. I read he had oxys at the border. Whoops! Funny how drugs and hitting women can do that. Worked out great for LA to terminate his contract after only one performing season. Ducks acquired Bieksa and Karl Hagelin. Kings got Lucic. Interesting moves out west. Countdown to October.
  6. Good article and hopefully effective. One other aspect of group-think that can be dangerous is reduced accountability. One person alone may be cautious of their actions and what advice they give or withhold, but in a group with a collective voice, that personal accountability is greatly reduced. This can allow a bad decision, action or advice to have less consequence. Example; "Hey, it wasn't my idea, we all agreed." Don't be afraid to speak up. Just a thought from a newbie. Cheers!
  7. Thank you to whoever put this together. Lots of hard work for our benefit. Very cool!!
  8. Hats off to this instructor. Remaining calm and flying down to pull his main for him - bravo.
  9. Iowacaveman - taken from the text : "If you are not a licensed skydiver yet, or have just recently earned your license, you should discuss this article with your instructor before trying anything you read here. He or she may want you to focus on more important skills, like altitude awareness and basic stability, rather than adding anything new to your pull sequence." He covered that.
  10. Got licensed this winter in Perris and Josh was always so stoked for me, helpful, encouraging, and had a true spirit that made everyone around glow. Glad I knew him and it won't be the same without him around. Thanks for inspiring us! RIP.
