It was great at the turn out for this comp. To be able to talk and hang out with such great people. I am already lookin forward to next year... I feel so fortunate that I missed Sunman's Naked Zone Acc.

Can't let you have all the fun on the pond Ian, thought I would throw on down too

A couple months ago, I trimmed a branch with my Velo running towards the hanger on the tree side on the pond. Really Ian is right, the tree is not a hazard, just a wild optical illusion. See everyone this weekend :)

[Has anyone here ever sniveled/stalled a tandem reserve into an AAD fire? ] If your reserve is sniveling, how can an AAD fire? The reserve is already out of the container, right?

Videographers: What's your wing loading?
bigsteve replied to fr33flyr's topic in Photography and Video
I started videos with a Heatwave 190, after I ripped it apart on a tandem video, I switched to stiletto 190. I have downsized thru Rage 170 and Rage 155. I now just a velo 120 with 750 lb vectran lines at a 2.7 wing load. No problems :) -

What I tell them is...I will tighten the chest strap, after the parachute opens, I will have you stand on my feet, I will tell you as I loosen up you chest strap. Then I show them as I am gearing them up exactly how I touch the buckle and flick it to loosen it up. Then I also say that I do this every jump with every student and with my own gear. They have all showed satisfaction with that. It also shows them that the chest strap has been routed properly...

To make sure my students pick there feet up on landing, If your feet touch the ground before mine, we will fall over and I will land on top of you and surf you ( I am 6'6" 270 lbs). Then they have a look of fear. As I video, I tell the student at the end of the in plane interview, "I am gonna hang on the outside of the plane and wait for you". I got some really cool double takes for that.
