  1. Make sure u have stainless rings. We've found that aluminum rings destroy lines due to the bits of metal that come off the rings during openings.
  2. Micro is for a sigma340. I've seen smaller canopies and up to a precision365. The rig fits more like a big sport rig instead of feeling like a big bulky tandem.
  3. There is only 1 person I know using a removable chest strap and it's not Marat. Marat has a removable belly band. The person removing his chest strap completely has a permanent belly band on his rig. U need to have chest rings in order to do a removable chest strap.
  4. you can get Scott Roberts' RDS here peaengineering.com
  5. you twist it back before you stow the lines

  7. i'll be there at 9:30 to open and get people waivered. as soon as we have 4 people, we can be wheels up by 10.
  8. i don't know of any hotels that close to the DZ, but there are some about 20 minutes away. not sure wich ones are good, you might want to ask McNenney. Lets try to figure out what time people want to start on friday. it takes 4 to fly and i need to let the pilot know what time to be there.
  9. trying to figure out if people are going to want to practice on friday, may 16. Speak up if you plan on it so i can make sure we have a pilot to fly loads that friday.
  10. i do know you, SHIVA. we did the course together and i'm pretty sure that i am one of the "overweight beer bellied fat asses" being talked about and also the guy flying a "pocket rocket" with barely any jumps. on the other hand i have more jumps on this canopy than you do total. i bet i can out fly you in any orientation and under canopy. you are acting petty and arrogant. you can recite cloud coverage all you want, whats that prove that you can read and remember. there were over 11 thousand jumps between the other 5 guys in the course and you feel that you're better than us with 400 and can critique our abilities. stop worrying about any of us and take care of your own shit. anyways as i recall you were the guy having teaching problems because you got too nervous and flustered. and who the hell are you to get on the internet and bash on the class and our evaluator, who by the way is an excellent one at that. obviously you are just an internet tough guy who had nothing to say in person and hides there profile on the internet. you haven't jumped with any of us and think you can judge any of our abilities. you know who i am and where to find me if you want to give me some more of your opinions. good luck to you
  11. Quote I was going to do a canopy control check and removed the right toggle and was about to remove the left brake when it started spinning to my left. the canopy is obviously going to spin if you only unstow one brake.
  12. try splitting your risers so they are next to each other and not on top. after you are done closing the rig, make sure you push the secondary riser covers(the covers along the side of the rig) back down all the way. they tend to slide up while closing the rig. this is what i do on mine. also, the reserve flap will break in after you have put several jumps on the rig.
  13. scott, what do you care if the king air is gone for a month. you only jump once every couple of months anyway
