  1. And while you're cooking it stick in a handful of dates. Mmmm.
  2. Hmmmm hmmmm. I _do_ hope that you don't have in mind the pilferage of certain, as yet unknown, amounts of "Sunny Warm Stuff" from us down 'ere ?? Hmmm??? There would be a certain requirement that you would need to fullfill in order to gain SWS credits. You will need to exchange an equivilent number of hours of "Pissing Down Pick-handles RAIN" Needless to say that in order to facilitate certain, ahemm, sporting activities none, not even a little bit of one. of these hours can be weekend hours. Tues to Thurs. inclusive would be good. Ooroo Mark F...
  3. Maybe just a slight knackering - it is a first offence, I think.
  4. I'm definately going to get another rangie. It'll be a classic though, none of this all electronic crap for me - fuel injection is about as far as I'll go...
  5. Morning (or whatever) folks.. I was gonna hang onto it for a while longer but it started making intermitant noises in the transmission. The old transfer case vibration was starting to get up towards the "expensive work" region so I figured that I'd ditch it and start again. It's done a lot of hard miles so the next owner ain't getting a bargain...
  6. Been out doin' the shopping and looking at cars. First time I've looked at cars in 20 years. Fuckin'ell, talk about high priced total crap. At least the old rangy was built to last - and it did. These new things seem to be build to only just outlast the warrantee. Might have to make the trek accross town and have a look at some older second hand rangies. Gonna do some pretty serious couch patatoing this arvo methinks..
  7. Puleeaassee... That's it from me. have a good >
  8. Only just though. Less than half an hour to spare here. It was a bloody good Friday to boot too. I even managed to sell my old lump of junk Range Rover
  9. [humungous bloody great big font] P I E [/humungous bloody great big font] Probably BEER too seeing as this the first thread that's made 1000 posts. I've got mine, how about you lot ??
  10. That was taken in the depths of a central Oz winter. Middle of July. (rubbing it in even further...
  11. Here's a pretty sloppy scan. http://members.optusnet.com.au/mark_forsyth/pages/Untitled-11.htm At sunset it really is that colour..
  12. Well some people allegedly put coke of all things in their rum so I thought.... Better just have the rum. Wanna bong to go with that. Good Qld. heads. Gets the day of to a start and a half. Ooroo Mark F...

  15. Mornin' Lisa. I'm tryin' very hard to not aggravate anyone. My pub lunch was good and the mountain bike ride was damn good. Plenty muddy and a few good spills, what more could one ask for.
  16. Nah. Waaaaayyyyy back in this thread I mentioned that I had a bout of Ross River virus disease followed by a dose of chronic fatigue syndrome. Life, just about all recreation time anyway, went on hold for near on three years. I got off pretty lightly, RRV is documented to last between about 6 weeks and about 20 YEARS with CFS almost always following. RRV is a poly-arthritic arborvirus and is carried around by fucking mosquitos. One bite is all it takes... Late Jan. is when I turn fifty so I'm planning to treat myself to a decent brithday pressie and restart jumping. Before RRV I got to the last AFF jump before the hop 'n pop and had to stop. 17. Good. That's what I saw too..
  18. Well seeing as I won't be jumping 'til about late January there's no point in me talking about jumping...
  19. Well I just edited the whole lot out because it was irrelevant...
  20. Ever noticed that fisherpersons (how's that for PC, eh??? ) are THE most optimistic people on earth. Next time you see someone fishing just ask 'em if they've caught anything. I bet the answer will be "not yet" with the implication that it's only a matter of time. I tried it along the Maribyrnong here and it was true in every case. The bit of the river where I was asking is a bit like a thinner version of the river Ahkh. It's got tanneries and soap factories 'n stuff so any fish from there would have to be a bit sus.. As far as sun screen goes... Living in the country with the highest incidence of skin cancer I'll stick to a big hat and SPF30+ thank you...
  21. It's not twisted. More like sprained... Ooroo Mark F...
  22. Quotegrrrrrr ..... don't you know I have been fighting with auditors all day and am not in a good moodQuote But that's what auditors are for, surely. When you next duck out for a smoke just imagine that there's a little auditor in there, burning. Ooroo Mark F...
  23. A REALLY big boat, right ? Something like QE II only twice as big packed to the rafters. I did some work for the Oz stock exchange last year just in time for a shitload of auditors to arrive on the scene. After the bastards finished the security audit we were presented with another mob of 'em doing an ISO9000 audit..AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH. I can see an auditor causing someone to become an axe wielding homicidal maniac. Ooroo Mark F...
  24. . Some people do disgusting things. Like really GROSS things. Can't stand whiskey myself. Rum for preference but tequila will do in a pinch..
