  1. Brian also called me today to inform me my 170 Lotus Max was done early, and ready to ship...
  2. Whatever... I am appreciative...Picture approval takes some time...All worth it thou... Thanks again, Terry
  3. Ohhhhhhh....Now thats a (must be able to do)...I didn't think of...After all I do want to see myself in some of the pictures... Thanks, thanks, thanks!!! Terry
  4. Hi Clarkey Thanks for the great information...My jumps now and future are/well be, all fun jumps no professional camera flying and generally just weekends, ...If I can do a few jumps go home down them load to my computer that will work...We have a fifteen minute drive back to the airport from where we land so I thought a spare battery/tape would work... Also appreciate the fyi (Waycool lense)... Thanks, Terry
  5. You sure captured that moment...Great picture... Thanks, Terry
  6. Whatever Thanks, It still says approval waiting...Not being familiar with the setup being used I am assuming dropzone.com views pictures posted first to keep their site first class...I will keep trying... Thanks again, Terry
  7. EricTheRed These are excellent!!!I did not know anyone was using the PC330 when I posted the first time...If I go forward it will be a 330 or 350 if out...I guess I will start considering helmets... Thanks, Terry
  8. Sam... If it's not a hassle! I would like to see the stills from the 2-way (PC105 and PC330)... Thanks, Terry [email protected]
  9. Thanks, Riggerrob, FreeFalle, Chapsta… Appreciate all the information…Sonystyle.com does show that the PC350 soon to be released to be smaller / 15 oz…Number one priority to me in a MiniDV is the size / weight… Thanks again, Terry
  10. Sony DCR-PC330 MiniDV Camcorder... Has anyone looked at it...Do you think it would work for skydiving; Freeflying only? Excluding the price issue...
  11. I have one and like it...Of coarse its my first full face helmet so I can't compare it to anything else...I was sent all the liner sizes to custom fit the helmet which worked for me...I ended up using extra large and small padding / inserts and it fits very nice...I also like the way the visor works...
  12. I will be 58 next April...70 jumps past four months just got my A license?
  13. Thanks...And I will...I have Recently I called their office and weather my call timing was inappropriate, or a busy work environment existed on their part I am uncertain...But I will try again...
  14. I am interested in the - Shogun, Made by Big Air Sportz...It has been suggested that it may be like a Spectre with air locks...Also that there are now a few of them being used (un-verified)...If anyone had one and could share what you think of the canopy I would be appreciative...My main is a Spectre and am curious if they are similar in flight / landing characteristics...Thanks
  15. I have purchased from them several times the service was always fast and I never had a problem...
  16. Regarding - pull down both toggles to your waist and hold them there.. it'll go quiet now look up at the canopy.. and watch it... you will feel the canopy tip you... and if it's a 9 cell the middle cell will start to bow in slighly ..now let up the toggles slowly about 4 or 5 inches ... the canopy will resume flying this area of flight is called deep brakes.. Good information - Would anyone know what could be expected on my 7 cell Spectre??? Would the middle cell also start to bow in slightly...I believe I have flown in deep brakes but never specially looked for a bow in slightly and let up the toggles 4 to 5 inches...Can't say I have come close to collapsing my canopy, not that that is a prerequisite to that mentioned...So much to do and learn!!!Thanks.

    Boots

Thanks...Makes sense I never gave thought to (a canopy entangled around a foot and not being able to kick off a shoe) I thought because it didn't have those steel shoe string hooks they would be ok...Just got my A and so much to learn...Thanks Terry

Here is a choice of an extra high top shoe which helps to protect the ankles...Has the flexibility of gym-shoes which I like...(Converse All Star X High Top)...Many other choices out there also... http://www.converse.com/zproductdetails.asp?zcatid=2&zsubcatid=3&sku=1P443

    Lotus2

Thanks for the reply and the information…(What am I looking for in a different canopy.) Good question, being I like the Spectre… The flight characteristics of a nine cell canopy can be appealing, add air locks, seems like a bonus…I’m wondering if the Lotus is prone to the occasional hard opening; characteristic of some other canopies…And I realize all canopies are subject able to hard openings, just some more than others…I am curious about their landings…A new guy with forty jumps can be very inquisitive, you guys have the knowledge/understanding and I’m searching for it…Thanks Terry…

    Lotus2

I may just downsize the Spectre to a 190…Actually one of my first jumps with the Spectre that I did I was coming in to land and I could feel myself being shaken and the canopy made a 45 degree turn…I was told that was the turbulence coming off the hills…The first thing I did during this turbulence was look at the canopy and it was solid, so I was impressed…I like the way it opens, I like the way it flies…My inquiry regarding the lotus stem from me liking what I read about the Lotus off of their web site and talking to Brian…I guess I could like a nine cell canopy also…Just real curious what those of you with experience flying the Lotus think of it…Thanks Terry…

    Lotus2

I am considering Big Air Sportz Lotus2 as a possible future purchase…I am 57 yrs old with only 40 jumps…I weigh 157 lbs, so with 30 lbs equipment a 190 would put me a little under a 1 to 1 wing loading…(Big Air recommends-beginner to intermediate skydivers are suggested to stay within the 1.0 - 1.2 range.) My question to those of you who have jumped the Lotus2…How are the openings, landings, do you like the canopy, would you recommend it to a new jumper…I fly a Spectre…Appreciative of any input…Thanks...
  24. DT… Thank you for the study guide. I think it is great, very well put together. I have it on my desk top. Very considerate of you as I am certain a lot of time went into making it. TerryB
