  1. This is the sort of mindless, factless statement that removes the power from people who actually have something educational to say. Good job. Thank you Doc.
  2. If you have only flown them once than you don't really have a good database of how they are.
  3. You will die under a pulse at 1.3!!!!
  4. Ever think that maybe the maintence guy wanted a passenger to see it?
  5. You missed the "safely" part, didn't you? Yes you're correct. Have a rigger assist you when hooking it up so you're being safe
  6. Yes that canopy will attach to whatever risers you have. You should buy new soft links (or hard) since you're going to have to attach the canopy anyway. It's a cheap investment to proper gear care. As far as will it be a perfect fit. The best way is to pack it in your gear and find out. You can look at specs all day long but you really won't know till you try. Does anyone at your dz have a sabre 190 you pack in your container? Also there is nothing wrong with a sabre! Yes people will bitch and moan about the smacker openings but if you pack it right, maybe get the modified slider it will treat you well. Once open they are a great canopy to start with.
  7. I have run across a few DZ's that use 2 go-pros for both the video and stills on tandem jumps. I understand the use of a go-pro on a wrist mount but this setup should not be charging this much!
  8. Unhook your old main, attach the new main, pack, jump, pull
  9. The biggest thing I have learned is to trust my rears to pull me out of low swoops. They work, just sometimes you have to pull harder on them.
  10. Trust your rears. Just keep pulling on them and you will be ok!
  11. Most are not reported because Dzo's don't want bad publicity. They like to be able to tell student's and tandems that they have no serious injuries or deaths. If the real number of injuries was presented to new jumpers more people would decide this isn't for them. Dying is easy, living with the injuries from an accident can be much worse!
