  1. true all that - rob and i would have sloshed around and praised depends for that squishy, yet contained feeling. have to admit, before one demo, i downed a couple of diet cokes. then the jump was delayed and delayed. brother, my teeth were floating. the formation split, i took center, deployed, and whipped out at 2k directly over the stadium. holy cow! it took me a grand just to finish! depends would have been great on that one.... 2. how cool would it be to have honda sponsorship like that?? Rob and I would have taken sponsorship from depends if they offered, and we'd have pooped under canopy if they wanted. barry - how much fluff is enough?? you da man! Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  3. what a great idea! or the hull of some old plane - give it a last flight Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  4. you mean, like fluffers? Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  5. whew! now a safe would be cool, and would leave a hefty crater..... Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  6. hey.... wait a second here people. i hope you know when i said ----ing your grandma, the ---- meant "HUGG". shame on you! my mother never loved me.... she wouldn't nurse me when i was a baby... she said she just wanted to be friends. 7. one time i was riding home from the dz with Rob Harris and he said "man, its always the same questions, how high, how fast, how low, what's it like? I just wanna say 'Its like ----ing your gramma!'" not that i'm recommending such a reply.... :-) Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  8. unbelievable flying skills! i haven't seen anything like it. i wasn't able to open the last one - didn't have the right kind of media player i suppose. very cool stuff. Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  9. i have to admit, its one of the more amazing things i've ever seen. i'd love to film it one day.... Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  10. man, this could be an outstanding junk day! I'd take the ball, but having kids now, i don't spend as much time as i used to on the road, but i'm happy to contribute time from here, and also what i know about pushing objects from planes and flying with them, and so on. on the project, i wouldn't be after selling a dvd or controlling the footage, but i would want to be able to include the footage in my own stock footage library and be clear to let it be aired on tv and such. the first junk day was a blast. this could be an even cooler junk day and for me, it would be an opportunity to explore some new angles. so don't forget to count me in!! Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  11. yes you do, and thanks!! i think word of mouth is what's keeping it going. i think also that being rated G (sort of) means that people with kids can grab it without worrying about a pair of boobs suddenly taking over the screen. don't get me wrong, i was advised to include T&A, and probably would have, but my wife and my mom are feminists and they'd have kicked my ass. 12. Olav Zipzer was the guy who was run over by the first car. he wasn't hurt, thank god. another junk day sounds terrific. i probably couldn't spear head it this time around, but whatever i can do to help, just let me know.... Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  13. My dad called me from St. Louis about the crash. I'm so sorry to hear about it. You guys were great when I came through. I'm also sorry to hear about the attorny. he sounds like a scumbag who can rationalize damaging other people's lives to make money. the shotgun approach allows lawyers to ride their "client's" grief like a wave until it crashes. its bad for the economy and brings innovation to a screeching halt. in the long run, how can the US stay a world leader with a legal system that supports parasites? 14. seeing it in the sky, sucked Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  15. Hell yes! and i'll buy beer! i'm always into filming this sort of thing - and its a group of skydivers just being creative, so I'd be in it just to roll film, and drink beer (at night). its not as cheap to do from the skyvan as it was when we shot the first junk day, but if you come up with a good game plan, and ideas that are cool, and run them by Bryan Burk and Betsy, they might be able to give you a rate that's achievable. it ain't cheap, but its doable! Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  16. i think these days the price is somewhat higher to toss cars from the skyvan. someone mentioned beer. if i can come and shoot, i'll buy the beer! Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  17. or contact the guys at weisman's salvage in Casa Grande. after the first and second hondas that greg torched, they chopped the rest of the cars we dropped, took out all the fluids, removed the motor and transmission and all of that, so that by the time we dropped, we were dropping a non toxic hunk of metal. and they're nice folks. there are also ways to jump a non-convertible, but it adds some complexity. there are also ways to stabilize the vehicle so that the riders can stay with it for a while. when you get close to actually doing it, let me know. i'd love to come play! as for other junk, i don't think much is required, other than being able to hang on tight.... Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  18. Thanks! btw, i'm stoked to follow this thread cause Good Stuff isn't exactly a new release. but it's certainly had longevity and continues to sell well. i'm thinking about packaging it with a tee-shirt in an effort to attract new jumpers and tandem students who pass through schools. any thoughts / ideas? Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  19. i haven't seen Swoop either. will have to check it out. "I'm #@#$% winning" with the canopy cutaway, that i have seen and its hilarious! Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  20. me too!! Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  21. yeah, what he said. no prob!! you're welcome!! Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  22. actually, when i'm not working, i'm pretty much rolling with the short guys (my boys) - but i do have a bunch of film to roll and i should get about exposing it...... anyone got some cool things going on to film?? Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  23. the falcon is unreal - no doubt. but betsy likes mine, and that's all that counts! Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  24. i LOVE you Betsy! i'm partial to good stuff too cause it's mine. but my kids tell me "willing to fly" is better. nothing personal, they say! Joe Jennings http://www.skydive.com http://www.skydive.tv
  25. hey Scott - how've you been? thanks for the post. actually, i'm jazzed about having an article on dropzone.com - almost all of the stuff i write or talk about addresses wuffo questions - "how high, how fast, is it dangerous, what if the chute doesn't work, did your chute ever fail, wow, what if the second one doesn't work. on some interviews i want to say "if the second chute doesn't work, then you #$@#ing die, brother!, what do you think?" course, that wouldn't be very diplomatic, so i give the standard - "well, its packed by a certified......" writing for skydivers is way better....
