I was at the Playa Grande resort on the Pacific side. About a 10 minute walk to downtown. I'm assuming that it is a safe walk because we don't remember walking back a couple of the nights, but I'm pretty sure nothing bad happened! Where are you staying?

I was just down there in May, had an AMAZING time! If you plan on partying you will probably end up at El Squid Roe. Cabo Wabo was somewhere I had to go just because, but it is also pretty much the one place where you will never find a drink special. As far as food, my favorite place is Mi Casa. The Office and Mango Deck are nice because you are sitting in the sand while you eat. Best drink special I found was at a little bar in the middle of the open air shops. No details yet, but there MAY have been alcohol involved, no one knows for sure yet. There was no seatbelt worn which could have been the difference between life and death on this. It happened VERY close to his house. I know that I drive home from my local watering hole after too many beers every now and then. It's only two miles away, but in this case (or any case)that may be a mile and a half too far. Please be safe and think twice before getting behind the wheel. I've read too many stories lately about people dying before their time. I actually do file online every week. They just want me to come in and bring my job search log so they can make sure I actually applied for all of the jobs. So I worked for AT&T Wireless for 6 years (being 28, this is a long time!) and once Cingular bought us they laid most of us off... Now Unemployment wants me to come in on the 27th to verify that I've been producing 3 job activities a week. They know damn well I have since I talk to them every couple days, but now I have to bag out on leaving the 25th for camping like I do every year because they want to look at my paperwork...why can't I just fax it? Because they suck.....what a bunch of dicks. Don't they have anything to do Memorial day weekend? My first Koontz book was Watchers which drew me in immediately, but The Face almost bored me. It built up a good story slowly but it never really developed into anything that kept my attention. Overall it was a decent story but I was bored for most of it.

I have read Angels and Demons twice now and think that it is by far better than DaVinci Code. Dan Brown is an amazing author. I read it in order and was almost let down by DaVinci.... I am reading a book called Are You Afraid of the Dark by Sidney Sheldon which is about nanotechnology and it is slow to start but a good read once you get past the first couple of chapters.

As far as needing a compatible radio, XM and Sirius both have plug-n-plays for about a hundred bucks. Mine sits on top of my dash and plays through AM stations. Great for camping too!

My condolences go out to his family and all of his friends. My first static line was at Snohomish last August and I was the last person in the class to jump. There was no one else that was on the 182 with us so Spencer came along to do a hop and pop. As soon as we got off the ground he could tell I was getting nervous and gave me words of encouragement all the way up until the door opened. As soon as he landed he ran over to tell me how good my landing looked and that he hoped to see me up there jumping into the east field with him again sometime soon. This is the only picture I have right now from that day. This was Spencer landing just moments after I did. I think I have a better one on my home pc. I'll check and add it if I do. You will be missed Spencer!
