Seems to me it could be done just like 4 way rw with working time, points, etc... kallend 1,648 #2 June 23, 2010 Well, first someone has to submit a proposal with a complete outline of the rules to the USPA competition committee, and then wingsuiters have to argue about it and grumble about how terrible it is for two or three years, and slam the original proposer for being a self-serving moron, boycott the event... You could even have block moves, right? it's still premature for pushing a 4way event... yes we can turn points here and there. but we haven't even yet completed a 4way diamond (docked) we need baby steps... the Flock U docked challenge was exactly that kind of idea... a more informal competition to get people to practice, so we can see improvement. when we really see people turning points like you see the belly or freeflyers do, then we can talk about a competition format, though even that needs to first be tested at events and played with right now we're at the point where we feel the need to award extra points for foot docks instead of hand docks, just cause they're so much harder... we need to get to the point where we're turning those points like crazy, without worrying if it's a hand or a foot or whatever. the artistic competition in Terni seems to be going in the right direction with 2-way points in a similar style to the freeflying artistic events. maybe we see one of those on this side of the pond sometime, too. so, in conclusion, can this be done? yes. are we there yet? are we ready? hell NO.
