Couch Freaks Aug 29 -Sept 3

Recommended Posts

Couch Freaks is almost here and I have already heard from several wingsuit flyers who will be attending, the flock is growing fast and should be bigger than ever this year. So bring your wingsuits and lets fly.

I havent made a WS jump yet. I ordered a WS but I dont think Ill get it before CouchFreaks. I have a BMI friend here who is taking me out for FFC, but I will be at CF and would like to start asap. So, what are the requierements and how does it work? I guess I pay the instructor slot, right? and what else?

You need to have sufficient skydiving experience and skill to safely fly a wingsuit, as well as wingsuit appropriate gear.

Refer to the USPA SIM section 6-9 for US minimum recommendations as well as the manufacturers sites.

Also check previous posts in this forum such as the one at the beginning.

I cannot stress the importance of getting good training prior to your first flight.

There is alot more to it than most people realize but with training and the pre-requisite skills it will be safe and easy. Proper training will ensure that your first flight is fun and scare-free.

In the mean time do tracking in the wingsuit body position and perform a wingsuit wave-off (with legs) and deployment sequence too.

Let us know how your first flight goes. :)
