homer 0 #1 May 16, 2005 Has anyone jumped an Eagle CReW specific main before. I have been offered a 153 & 160 both new with only one test jump. Are they any good or should this pup just pay a bit more for a Lightning. CSA #699 Muff #3804
elizfowler 0 #2 May 16, 2005 Get that Lightning order in!
homer 0 #3 May 17, 2005 Yah, I have been told that if you do CReW you need to have all the same brand canopies if you want to be successful. I will stick with my original want and that was a Lightning. CSA #699 Muff #3804
BillyVance 34 #4 May 17, 2005 You're definitely better off with a Lightning if you want in on the official CRW camps. I use a Lightning myself when jumping with other Lightning-equipped jumpers. However, I use a Triathlon 120 when jumping with local friends if the wingloading calls for it. I wouldn't do anything other than stacks or planes with my Triathlon. plastic 0 #5 May 18, 2005 I have some training footage of the russian 8-way team training on triathlons, they are also world champions in 8-way as well as rotations. however the lightning is still my canopy of choice. plastic
homer 0 #6 May 18, 2005 Quotehowever the lightning is still my canopy of choice. It's my choice too. Talking with PD yesterday a new 160 is going to cost $1850, less if you have a dealer discount. Delivery is about 11 weeks minimum. I guess I'll order mine during the winter season. CSA #699 Muff #3804
faulknerwn 36 #7 May 18, 2005 Most dealers generally give a considerable discount though. I don't know of anyone who paid $1850!!! for a Lightning... W
elizfowler 0 #8 May 18, 2005 Exactly! We generally do look for value and additional price savings.... I had a recent conversation with Mark Gregory who confirmed that he is still our contact for Lightnings at the World Team /Dealer price. If you'd like, I can email you his contact information and you can get going on an order!
homer 0 #9 May 18, 2005 YES, please PM me the contact info. -------------------- Bill- As for the $1850 that was the quoted retail price (by a PD rep) without the dealer discount. CSA #699 Muff #3804
