Wendy = cool

Skydive Temple = cool, too.

Eric (PhreeZone) and I managed to drag our asses out to Skydive Temple (about 2 hours away from my pad) at around 3 p.m. on Sunday -- three hours later than I'd told Wendy we'd be there. I had e-mailed her a few weeks ago and shamelessly begged for some CReW coaching.

Anyhow, she and the rest of the Temple posse were cool as hell, and I learned more about flying during my two jumps with Wendy than I have in 100 jumps on my own. Eric did some schweet three-ways with some of the other dawgs out there.

Then we worshipped at the temple of the No Cheap Beer High Priestess.

A very good day. Some highlights:

*Riding the 182 up to 14.5K

*When I almost walked straight into the prop of a landing plane (Hi, my name is Stephen Baldwin, and I'm playing a big dumb whuffo in "Cutaway")

*Eric's swoop over the heads of some Temple regulars during the hit 'n chug

*My getting very drunk and threatening to beat everyone up (I don't actually remember this part)

*(Drunkenly) watching the video of Wendy getting that huge line burn on the back of her knee

And other stuff. It was lots of fun! Thanks again, Wendy and crew. (Heeyuck, get it, "crew"?!)
