Time to Vote on New 4-way VRW dive pool by this SAT NITE!

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

If you compete or fly VRW, go to vrw4way.com and vote. The voting window is closing and we have posted the voting page. You have until mid-night on Saturday the 24th to cast your vote! Sorry, but the IPC meeting is on the 27th and we need to create nicer pictures for the new dive pool. Please send this to any VRW fliers that would like to have input and thanks so much to all that submitted formations.

May the best moves win!

There are some really creative points on there. hard to choose...but the artwork needs a bit of improvement ;)

Once the new moves have been chosen by vote, the vrw4way.com team is going to do proper animated drawings just like the previous divepool and submit them to the IPC. To do the drawings for all the submissions would have taken too long. If you have any skills for assiting them I'm sure they'd appreciate it.

Any "larger" jumpers should vote for the "Toast" since it has a flyer intenionally going low!;)
... not that I've ever done that!

"Ignorance is bliss" and "Patience is a virtue"... So if you're stupid and don't mind waiting around for a while, I guess you can have a pretty good life!

Hey guys,

Looks like we had some late arrivals. I've just added 12 more formations to the choices, reset your ability to vote and changed it so you can select 4 of each! Please revote if you already did so.

Thanks and enjoy!

Hey Everyone!

Just got an update from Teams AZ Arsenal and AZ Drive. They have taken the new proposed dive pool and have flown it in the tunnel. Here is a link to the video. Also, if you'd like to voice your opinion in any manner, please feel free to reply back to vrwteam (AT) vrw4way.com and we'll be sure to pass them on when we submit the suggested formations to the IPC on Monday.

Thanks!

Did the official word ever get put out as to which were the new adds?

Are these new adds going to be in the dive pool for the 2009 USPA nationals and in the 2009 competition manual coming out in May?

Should be available soon (March 1st the very latest) at http://www.fai.org/parachuting/documents/sportingcode2009 and of course http://vrw4way.com

And yes, should be in the 2009 SCM.

Just voted on them too...The eagle blocks from the many selections look awesome, and to agree with Dr.Bones, more "head-up" flying will really make for some diverse dive-pools and allow more intermidiate freeflyers to help a team out who arent as all head-down strong...maybe. Cant wait to find out the results!

I just think that the current VFS dive pool is mostly head down points. It's got some mixed points, but I think it'd be more balanced as vertical formation skydiving to have a couple of all head up blocks/randoms like the head up star random or head up accordian block. As it is now it's really more like HDFS.

Though some all head up formations would really make the videographer's job hard in the current filming technique. They might have to switch over to a top view!
