dragon2 0 #2 May 6, 2009 A rubber grippie thing (no idea what it's called, sorry) has worked for me a few times. If the ring is plastic you can also just crack it. jimmytavino 16 #5 May 6, 2009 had success once or twice, with a pair of tiny tiny sized vise grips.....properly adjusted bite the edge of the ring which protrudes above the part which threads onto your camera.....so that the tool is perpendicular to the plane of the ring... there's not much to lock on to., so that's why the V grips must be small... Once locked on... I WAS able to coax the ring in a circular direction.. bigger pliars on the outside of the whole thing, can squeeze the ring enough to bind it at the points NOT being contacted by the channel locks... ***** bear in mind the potential for a small scar on the ring,, where you have to grab it..... but rings are replaceable.. worked for me.. jt Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
bdazel 0 #6 May 6, 2009 Success! Thanks for the tips everyone. I used a large pipe wrench thing (sorry, don't know real name) and a towel, and it came off.
