diablopilot 2 #2 February 1, 2008 So it's essentially 6MP video. Cool. ---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
mccordia 73 #3 February 1, 2008 Taking it down to SD resolution will give even higher framespeeds (and still useable video).. AWESOME toy!Now where did I leave that winning lotery ticket.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
USPA 0 #4 February 1, 2008 Well, it's 30 FPS at 720P, but at 1080, it becomes 60 fields per second, so image quality will probably suffer. Furthermore it apparantly has a 60 frame buffer... :(The trouble with skydiving; If you stink at it and continue to jump, you'll die. If you're good at it and continue to jump, you'll see a lot of friends die...

johnboy 0 #8 February 5, 2008 So who's going to be the first to try jumping it?
DSE 3 #9 February 5, 2008 If I can convince Casio to send me one, I'll jump it, no sweat. The speed is only useful to capture short sequences, so I'm still happier to lose some resolution in favor of the 60p I can get from other progressive cameras, but...I'd really like to see this one. johnboy 0 #10 February 5, 2008 Yeah, riser slap shouldn't be an issue. I'll be sending you your neck brace in a few days...lol
BMFin 0 #11 February 5, 2008 Quote If I can convince Casio to send me one, I'll jump it, no sweat. I think he ment the 3x Mark III setup But actually with "slightly" smaller lenses it wouldnt be nearly as impossible..
DSE 3 #12 February 5, 2008 Ahh...duh. I was thinking he meant the Casio. I hope to have the Casio in hand by mid-March, their press team says they'll be available for review by then.
LouDiamond 1 #13 February 6, 2008 Quotehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AuyVz89AXg McGowan has been jumping one of those for a while now, the quality of the photos that come out of that camera are simply amazing."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
johnboy 0 #14 February 6, 2008 Yeah, I meant the 3x Canons. If you do try jumping that rig, I so want to be there for it! I will be interested in your review of the Casio, though. That looks like some remarkable bang for the buck for a high speed camera.
raceface 0 #15 May 7, 2008 review review review with samples forum with samples some samples some samples anyone tryed it in freefall? i am looking to buy it but need to be ensured it does not suffer from "HV-10 effect"...my pictures
BMFin 0 #16 May 7, 2008 Took a look at one of the reviews quickly and it said: "you can do 60fps for 1 second or 30 fps for 2 seconds, 20 fps for 3 seconds, etc." I guess no SDHC card is fast enough ... Not much use for it in skydiving IMO
