Keeping remote switch port clean

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I just got my new digital rebel, and the goldmember and conceptus bite swich are on their way...

The port for the remote switch is behind a rubber flap also covering the USB and Vid Out ports...

What to people do to keep everything sealed up as best as possible and keep dirt an moisture from getting in the other ports?

Gaffers tape; put hole into rubber flap so switch can be plugged in through it...?

Duct tape or some other tape like isolating tape (for electricians)

Just a quick question, is your profile accurate ?? Will you jump the camera with 45 jumps ?? Not trying to give lessons, just to keep you safe.

I left the flap in place so I can reinsert it when my still isn't on my helmet.

I just pull the flap aside when I plug in my switch.

I've never had any moisture problems with my still... even when things get "wet" from "haze".
