350D Remote Switch?

Recommended Posts

OK, I got a E-mail from a friend and it brought up the question on the Canon 350D... I was under the impression that the Conceptous switches (w/stero plugs) worked great on the 300D and more specifically the 350D. I dont think it will work on the 10D or 20D but I could be wrong.

Basically -->What is the word on the use of the tounge switch with a 350D??

Thanks....

The RS60-E3 remote switch uses a standard 2.5 mm (submini) audio head. This is on the 300D and 350D.

The RS60-N3 uses the proprietary canon connector that requires an adapter. This is on the 10D and 20D.

The mono switch at least on the 300D keeps the camera thinking you´re focussing, therefore it won´t clear the buffer as fast, giving you a much slower camera.

Keeping the camera thinking it´s busy will probably hurt your battery life also.

Most people dont use autofocus anyway, so I´d always get the stereo switch.
