riggerrob 558 #1 June 15, 2005 Yesterday - at the Sony Store - I got my first look at SONY's new DCR PC55 and was disappointed. Sure it has the same 1 mega pixel CCD as the PC109 beside it. And yes, it is substantially smaller than the PC109, but there are no threads for attaching wide-angle lenses. Even the salesman could not find any accessory lenses listed on Sony's website. So now my options are to buy the last PC109 on his shelf or hope that my HC40 lasts a couple more years.

I am just trying to put some money aside and keep an eye on the market for the next time a student crushes my left hand in the doorway .... wrecking my camera. I almost bought a PC109 last year, but the HC40 was less expensive for the same 1 mega pixels.
