does anyone have any experience with other-than-Breant's Newton cross sights? say the ones listed at paragear?

Ok, NOW I feel like I can reply.

When I first started camera flying I got an L&B cross sight. It was ok. That is to say that it works as advertised. The cross was not very tight and the exact center of the sight was difficult to picture because it was kinda of vague.

My understanding is that Brent's are pretty good, but to be honest, I've never looked through one of his cross sights.

I now use a Brent Finley concentric ring sight and I believe there is no finer sight on the market. If you really want to do precision camera flying, this is one tool you'll want to have.

Actually, there is one more thing that makes mine more expensive. The time and effort made to laminate the internal pieces together. This makes the sight "brighter" or clearer because you lose 4% to internal reflection between every air gap.

L&B has 4 pieces (3 air gaps).
Mine has 3 pieces (2 air gaps).
