Deuce 1 #3 February 4, 2003 I've seen some video that had to have been done with floodlight, but I can't figure out how to get around the safety issue of blinding the skydivers. I've done a couple using the super night shot on my PC120, but they really weren't satisfactory. I love night freefall, but I loathe that canopy ride. mccordia 73 #4 February 5, 2003 You could try to get your hands on a big infrared light and have another person on the jump who flies the lamp alongside you, in the way you would fly a camera. He lights the thunnel, you film it...JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
prost 0 #5 February 6, 2003 Filming at night with a light is not an option. I tried it a couple of years ago with the built in light for the camera. The video came out fine but it blinded everyone on the jump. You would not believe how bright that little light is in complete darkness. If you stayed straight above them it would not be so bad, but still a risk.
cameramonkey 0 #6 February 6, 2003 The videographer at our dz that does it has an interesting solution. He launches from inside behind the formation, and turns on the light with a remote switch once he has left the plane. Yeah, you lose the exit, but at least everyone can still see Two wrongs don't make a right, however three lefts DO!
