TobbeE 0 #1 June 16, 2011 Anyone that (recently) jumped a Parachutes de France Ninja 2 and/or a Parachutes de France Instinct? Would like to know how it performs compared to other canopies like the VX/JVX or Velo, in opening/flight/landing. And please, not just comments on French vs. NZ or American manufacturers
trigger 0 #2 June 16, 2011 No experience of jumping either (not helping much am i) But as far as i'm aware these canopies are in the XF/Katana performance range. As a side note the original Ninja was grounded due to turblulence issues and the Ninja2 was said to be a toned down version of the original Edited to add http://www.aerazur.com/en/parachute-and-protection/main-canopies.html.CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER. piisfish 135 #3 June 17, 2011 of what I saw from Ninja 2's, it's that they have a very flat flight, and VERY short recovery arc (at least for high performance canopies). my observations are from seeing 2 Ninja owners/jumpers at my DZ can't comment for the Instinctscissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
Floflo 0 #4 June 17, 2011 As Fish wrote, the Ninja 2 is known for its extremely short recovery arc. The Instinct's recovery arc is only very short , and its openings very fast and quite hard. The pro is that you can find them second hand with few jumps and cheap.
rem 0 #5 June 17, 2011 arrêtez, je voudrais qu'il m'achète mon instinct... bon, la ninja, on oublie, c'est de la merde. mais pour l'instinct, avec un glisseur approprié et un réglage des "demi-freins" adapté, les ouvertures sont tout à fait correctes. le recovery n'est pas si court, bien sur moindre que les tri-cell, mais vraiment plus long que les springo ou BTpro. par contre les avants sont très durs, il faut une bonne technique pour l'envoyer. allez, la même en amerlock : the ninja2, you forget, it's shit. some instinct can open hard, BUT, with a good slider and an appropriate adjustment of "half-brake", openings are quite correct. the recovery is not so short, really longer than the Springo or BTpro. the front risers are strong, but she fly well with harness.niques tout, chies d'dans... timfff 0 #6 November 16, 2011 I fly on Instinct. Yes, indeed it looks like a Katana. This is a great canopy. Its name - it's true!)) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyOLHZMhFUU
