kj126 0 #1 April 17, 2008 Just doing some research before making a mistake. With the RDS systems which is preferred and or will it make much of a difference. My current RDS is slightly smaller about 3" than the original of my Velo 96, My thought would be with the increase of drag coming from the bag on an RDS of the same size, that it's tendency would be slower to creep down the lines, and that's not what I'm looking for. Any hints- I have one the same size but am not partial to the setup. Have not jumped it yet.I Am Sofa King We Todd Did!!
packing_jarrett 0 #2 April 17, 2008 I don't think the slider is as rocket science as some people make it out to be. I've used the same small RDS slider from a Xaos 68 all the way up to a Sabre 150. No major ill affects.Na' Cho' Cheese
morris 0 #3 April 17, 2008 go for the same size! and if it´s not possible to do so (for whatever reason) you better use a larger RDS than one that is smaller than the original slider - don´t take the chance of an ultrahard opening - no fun at all... SkymonkeyONE 3 #4 April 24, 2008 I have owned four removeable sliders and only one was a tad smaller than the stocker. FWIW, I jumped that one on three different sized canopies withhout any problems whatsoever. The one I jump on my Xaos 27 is slightly larger than stock. The one on my HMA/RDS-equipped Sabre2 is the same size as stock.
