AggieDave 6 #2 September 27, 2005 There's nothing in the rules that says you couldn't use your Spectre. Just something to remember if you can't get your hands on a classic acc canopy.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Spizzzarko 0 #3 September 27, 2005 There is a parafoil for sale in the main canopy classifieds on this website. If you are looking to compete in the classic accuracy event at collegiate nat's then you really need a classic accuracy canopy, as it will be very very very difficult to score the disk with any consistancy on a smaller canopy, especially when all of the military academy's are using Classic's and scoring less than 5 cents on most of their jumps. The best I have shot is 5 and 3 cents with a spectre 170. Using a classic canopy is much easier, but you will have to get used to coming straight down onto your target. Also you are more at the mercy of the winds, so you really have to plan ahead. It is actually a real challenge for all of you swoopers out there, and you would learn a lot if you actually practiced classic acc. If you need some more advise call (719) 333-3653 and ask for Coach Wenger, Marty Jones, or ask how to get into contact with Kieth Bergeron. Coach Wenger, and Kieth Bergeron are really active in the Classic Accuracy realm and are instrumental in the Collegiate Nationals. Those dudes know their stuff when it comes to classic acc.
