Hey, you have landed yourself in the windy state, I grew up there in the middle of no where, not a dropzone in the entire state, although there are a few things to do for fun besides shooting, screwing and drinking, and they might even involve parachutes, give me a shout
  2. "If someone is at the bottom of the class and they graduate doesn't mean they are not a doctor"? Double edged sword I guess, Something is better than nothing but... You get what you pay for in the medical training world Save the money and take a serious course If you put price above quality of training you might as well place a price on patients you will more than likely treat. Just a thought, Yo no Save Nada WMI Wilderness Medicine Institute @ NOLS sister and brother companies, easy trail to follow, 2-3 schools that approve of eachother!
  3. New to the sport, have wilderness EMT, urban EMT. Considering having a jump kit in vehicle. A jump kit is basically the bag an EMT takes everywhere, maybe a backboard on the roof rack as well? I am going to be a jinx by having some vital equipment to saving asses or is it a good idea?
  4. I skydive with a fellow from that area, maybe he could be of some assistance.
  5. You could get hit by a bus tomorrow, how pissed off will you be if you haven't done anything at least remotely cool in the last 24 hours?
  6. Looking for an accuracy canopy for collegiate nationals. Any leads would be bitchin. Thanks [email protected]
  7. There are quite a few people involved with the collegiates, why not have a little nook in the corner to let them have at it.
  8. I have done a little skydiving with a guy in India named Santosh Kumar, really cool guy, trying to break through the hard core government red tape to blow up the tandem industry there in India, I am sure he would know. anyway, shouldn't be too hard to find, he is the only dude I could find after scouring all over the country for a fix. Good Luck
  9. Yeah dude, sorry it took so long, I have been wandering through the south Arizona desert for a few days. Talk to Andre and Drian for free flying and good times in Cape, the people who run the DZ are really cool as well, Skinny Pete, Anton, Ronel, and one other dude who will probably punch me if he reads this for forgetting his name, they are all good people. Give Anton some shit for me if you would. Alex
  10. I did some skydives there in November of last year and met some really cool people. I would be happy to hook you up with some info, they have a cool little cesna DZ right near the coast about thirty minutes out of cape. Advice

What up fellow jumpers, I have been skydiving for about two years, the first year was slow so I am right at about 100 jumps and lovin every bit of it. I have something in the back of my head that is driving me towards BASE. I raced boardercross for three years, did the motorcross thing, downhill mb you name it, so I know all to well how shitty it is getting hurt. I don't have fun in life unless I get scared, without the juice I might as well be some kind of boring suburban life junkie. I am confident in my canopy skills enough for an entry level BASE jump, but everyone's opinions are accross the board, wait, don't wait, maybe etc etc. It is wierd because the skydiving world is so much more regemented and standards are more widely accepted for gradual progression in the sport. I am not getting bored in skydiving obviously because hell I just learned how to sitfly well, but I feel that I am missing something, the stationary stomach drop I used to get dropping a sixty foot cliff on a snowboard, or the feeling of dropping in on a twelve foot vert ramp ya know? Any advice or opinions from anyone who can relate would be appreciated. I just want to do ONE to see what it feels like, most say after one it is hard to stop but I've had no problems with other things of that nature. The ulitmate goal of mixing snowboarding (injury prevented career in which) and BASE.
  12. Does anyone know of any operations in Venezuela, I am going to end up there for a few days and I have my rig. It would be cool to make some jumps at a DZ or with a personal aircraft of some sort. My email is [email protected], I will also check posts for any replies, thanks for the time blue skies happy landings
  13. Does anyone have any leads on jumping in any of these places, ie balloons and helos as well? Please let me know, thanks [email protected]
  14. A little info about myself, it is kind of funny actually. I just started jumping about nine months ago because one of my friends was in the air force test chute program. I just finished my A because I am busy but the funny part is I recently sold out the ski\snowboard bum life for a "real job" behind a desk and I make great money but it has been a year or so and I am about to sell everything I own and get back to reality some how. I just don't know how yet, I have been jumping almost everyday lately so I have a feeling this and BASE will consume my life the same way racing snowboards did for many years. In a nut shell I am going to be seeing alot more of you other jumpers out there, drop zone life here I come. Corporate america can kiss my ass!!!!!!!!!! Anybody out there make a living jumping
  15. Can anyone that has any info on these places give me a heads up on the jumping, much appreciated. I am doing my homework on them but experience is experience. Thanks Blue Skies, Happy Landings.
