Inline Attachment Won't Work

Recommended Posts

how do you get an inline animated gif to work?
I've attached the file and added "inline filename.gif" (with the square brackets, no quotes). When i hit the "preview post" button it all works but when i actually post it doesn't. I'll try it here.

I think they were briefly turned on, but they sucked up a bunch of bandwidth (all those graphics reloading).

More then that, I believe HH was more worried about the next step. NSFW stuff getting posted in line and annoying animated gifs and such.

Other things that have flat out ruined other online forums before.[:/]

Maybe that option should be removed from the mark-up help section as stated in the thread linked above.

I agree. Its been there forever and its only been activated for about 30 minutes after a software upgrade that changed some settings that HH didn't see until after the fact.

You can always PM HH with your suggestions, but he does do a good job of keeping up with this and the Error forum for obvious reasons.:)
