After being discharged due to an injury he received during a parachute jump, Jimmy began working as a session guitarist under the name Jimmy James. By the end of 1965, Jimmy had played with several marquee acts, including Ike and Tina Turner, Sam Cooke, the Isley Brothers, and Little Richard. Jimmy parted ways with Little Richard to form his own band Don't go away mad....just go away!
JohnMitchell 14 #2 December 13, 2008 Isn't that cool? I had heard he saw some uncles with the "Screaming Eagle" patch and wanted to do that himself. I also heard it was hearing Bob Dylan's singing voice that convince him he could do his own vocals.Out of all the sixties musicians, Jimi was my fav. I so wish he was around today, still making amazing music.
