Information On Boston Area Jumping

Recommended Posts

Thursday, 25 December 2008
If you are from the Boston area, may I ask some
questions? This summer I will be 'passing through'
that historical area and (if possible) wanted to stop
and make a couple of jumps along the way.
What are my options? Where are the 'good' DZ's in your area?

Closest to Boston:
Pepperell; Otter and Cessnas; seven days a week, but not usually really busy weekdays.
Sightly farther: Jumptown/Orange. Super Otter and Cessna, Thu-Sun. If you're looking for history, this was the site of the first commercial DZ in the US and the first World Meet held in the US. If you're looking to do CRW, you're more likely (though not guaranteed) to find CRW people here.
Ask again when you're about to be on the road. Things change.

There is also Skydive New England in Lebanon Maine which is only 90 miles from Boston (~ same as Jumptown) and is easy to get to. They also have a Twotter. All 3 are great DZ's...if you have time visit them all! :)
As Howard said check in again when you have dates because each DZ has special events and large boogies in the summer that have an impact on your plans.

Blues,
Steve
