Jumping Down Under

Recommended Posts

I hope you Aussies take care of my girl, Lisa, in true dz. com style! She's a great person and is fun to do freefly jumps with. I'm going to miss seeing her around Deland.
She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man,
because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

There's quite a few Sydney dz.commers, and plenty more that lurk.

As far as dropzones go, Picton is by far the largest, and it's about an hour South on the M5 from the centre of Sydney. Weekends there's always at least one Skyvan running.

Other dropzones include Newcastle and Gloucester, both much smaller, primarily Cessna DZs. They do, however, have a reputation for being lovely and friendly (I've not been myself).

If you're looking for recommendations on good areas to live in Sydney, feel free to PM myself, Jasmin, or Nael.

edit: having read your original message properly: Picton is definitely freefly-friendly, and it's open during the week. Normally 3-5 loads on a weekday, starting from about 07:30. It's rarely a problem getting on loads during the week, as the limiting factor is usually the number of TMs/video available. The Skyvans take 20/21 a load.
