BlueBird180 0 #1 September 19, 2003 a friend of mine jumped for the israeli military, but was trained by US marines. its been 2 years, so i know whatever certification he has will need to be updated. my question is, does he have to go through AFP or AFF or anything like that to get certified again, or just test out and renew the certs he already has? riggerrob 558 #3 September 19, 2003 In that scenario, we do some refresher training on emergency procedures and local DZ policy. Then he does a jump or two with an instructor. Then we figure out how close he is to earning a CSPA A Certificate. Then we draw up a training plan to complete the last requirements for a Canadian A Certificate. The more paperwork, logbooks, licenses, etc. he brings to the table, the better. Note: military static-line jumps are almost irrelevant to civilian skydiving.
