Wiped out all of the items I had left on the A proficiency card yesterday. Need a packing clinic and I'm finished.

Looks like the Bombshelter better stock up on that Sierra Nevada.....

Congrats! I had my packing lessons last week....if you are anything like me, you will have a whole new appreciation for packers when you are done!!

Keep packing after you're done. Packers are good and need to eat too and everything, but being a decent packer is part of being a skydiver IMHO.

I've watched the packers at Perris work their asses off on weekdays when a couple of teams are in...couldn't imagine it on a weekend.

If I had my druthers, I would have two rigs, hit every load, and never pack.

But since packing is such a huge part of BASE, I might not follow through on that.

The other reason is that at even middle sized dropzones (ie, one turbine and a cessna), there may be just enough packers to keep up with the tandems and students on a busy weekend. I, err, you might be waiting a long time.

And don't even think about what happens at the boogies. At Skydance's American Boogie, it's a sea of nylon on the floor.
