saxboy 0 #1 May 29, 2007 Hello there! Does anybody knows if I can put a 150 sqft main canopy (360 pack volume) to a Javelin TJN???? I have read in their site "up to 139".... Thanks
darkwing 4 #2 May 29, 2007 Is it a 7-cell? If so, then maybe, because they pack a little smaller than the same size of 9-cell. If not, then I'd say you should listen to their recommendation. -- Jeff My Skydiving History

darkwing 4 #4 May 29, 2007 One thing that many non-riggers do (unfortunately) is cram a canopy in that is too big. This can lead to problems, such as grommet and flap damage. Since manufacturers differ their measurement methods, and even canopies from the same mfr and the same type and size of canopy can have pack volume vary by several percent, the only real way to find out if it will fit is to try it--but keep my warning about over-stuffing in mind. -- Jeff My Skydiving History
phoenixlpr 0 #5 May 29, 2007 I have a Cobalt 135 in my TJN. Its quite tight. Its written upto 135..... I would not do that. It would be a real pain to close it every time.
