firstime 0 #1 January 31, 2008 I took the liberty of looking for this topic to no avail. I know the uspa can check ratings (valid,up to date) Why is it not available to us?
slotperfect 7 #2 January 31, 2008 I can think of a couple of reasons why other skydivers might want the ability to check on other skydivers' rating currency, but I am interested in hearing what yours are. What are they?Arrive Safely John
firstime 0 #3 January 31, 2008 some loud mouth that I ran into boasting about all his ratings "oh I don't have my card with me" was his answer. I am not by any means concerned with the people I jump with. Would love to stick a sock in someones BIG mouth. The question was not to put you or anyone on the defensive as your reply sounded, if so I stand corrected
darkwing 4 #4 January 31, 2008 I didn't read him as defensive, just curious. I don't think you need to stand corrected. -- Jeff My Skydiving History
tdog 0 #6 January 31, 2008 Quotesome loud mouth that I ran into boasting about all his ratings Oh... Well then, solve the problem like I did a while back with a stagehand who saw my skydive tee-shirt and tried to tell me he was an expert skydiver. HIM - "You skydive, I do too! I am a pro." ME - "Oh really, where is your home DZ?" HIM - "XXXX" (a city that does not have a DZ.) ME - "Oh, so you know Jack, the head instructor there huh?" HIM - "Yes, we go back a long ways." ME - "Oh ya, well let me call Jack right now..." HIM - (with a worried look on his face). ME - "Which Jack was it? Jack A. or Jack U.?" HIM - "Well, I forgot his last name." ME - "Well it is either gonna be him Jackn' U Up for telling a lie, or you being a Jack Ass for being a poser. I can't figure it out." ME - (walking away)

How you interpreted my reply as defensive, I don't know - it was anything but that. If you really feel that the big mouth is worth your time, I suggest you ask your DZO to look him up in the DZO database. All Group Members have access to it.Arrive Safely John
