saf40 0 #1 July 24, 2008 Hi! Does anyone have any experience taking a rig as hand luggage on Norwegian.no flights (london-oslo) When I booked the guy said as long as it is the correct size and weight for hand luggage it should be ok, but I got the impression he had never had that question asked before! I cannot find any Norwegian.no policy document to print out that explicity allow rigs as OK. Any quick response greatly appreciated. Cheers, Steffen
rasmack 0 #2 July 24, 2008 I have yet to encounter an airline that act as if they have ever heard that question before. SAS called the captain from the gate and asked me if there were any compressed gas capsules in the rig. Do bring your Cypres X-ray card and any other piece of paper on the rig, though.HF #682, Team Dirty Sanchez #227 “I simply hate, detest, loathe, despise, and abhor redundancy.” - Not quite Oscar Wilde... JeNnEjEnN 0 #3 July 24, 2008 Rigs are ok as hand luggage on Norwegian air (I always travel with rigs as hand luggage) - the size should be ok - just put it in a stash bag or something, and act like it's not that heavy ;)
jurgencamps 0 #4 July 24, 2008 It also depends from airport to airport. I know that with Ryanair from Girona to Brussels South (Charleroi) it is no problem. But in Charleroi, the security will not allow you. So, also check both airports.
