spyker 0 #1 March 31, 2009 I must be a softie but since I started jumping, I've had muscle aches and pains. Both my heels feel a bit tender from the not so soft landings and the insides of my thighs are a bit sore.. My body is taking a beating but the smile keeps growing! Nothing serious thankfully! Will I get used to this eventually?

It will save your body and maybe save you from serious injury some day.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." spyker 0 #4 March 31, 2009 I'm currently doing excercise during the week so I consider myself a bit fit. Just wondering if it's anything like being saddle sore from horse riding..
shropshire 0 #5 March 31, 2009 Jeeeze.... It's only falling, not athletics. My advice, apply (& distribute) several 330m/l internal lubrication (green or brown bottles, it doesn't matter) and go again next weekend. (.)Y(.) Anta 0 #6 March 31, 2009 I'm sure it will get better once you get more used to it and you get off the student gear =) (padded leg straps are great ;) )
beowulf 1 #7 March 31, 2009 LOL ... after a good weekend of team training I am tired and wore out. Yes skydiving can be athletic. It's not just falling!

Dan1 0 #9 April 1, 2009 As far as the thighs hurting, it's just on student gear. Once you get your own gear with padded legstraps it's much more comfortable. I used to get bruises on the insides of my legs from the student gear. Also cross your legs under canopy, it makes it much more comfortable and makes the harness more like a seat...just remember to uncross them and prepare to PLF before you land. The green bottle is better......so I've heard, from other people....
