TV Show Looking to License Skydiver Footage

Hi Guys,

I wonder if you can help me, I work for a TV Production Company in the UK, and we are currently producing a show that looks at internet videos.

One of the videos we have come across is this one:

I wonder if anyone on here knows this clip? or possibly where is came from (the internet address on the video does not exist)

Someone probably wants to do a show on how skydiving is terrifying, dangerous, horrible activity, thus choosing a video like that and interpreting in their own distorted ways..

I don't imagine they are looking for great accomplishments in skydiving to broadcast but instead, the type like the one of the guy who cuts away his main thinking he's pulling his PC. (I don't dare say the name of the student.)

Umm...read Variety or Wired. You'll find RudeTube. They dont do "stories."
They'll present it as it is.
And it's commendable that they're looking to license it, because all they need to do is use a narrative to change the perspective and they get away with Fair Use, even on your side of the pond.

Back to the OP, PilotDave will likely be the best source of the content owner.

I'm in contact with him. I know the instructor and videographer (and I converted it from VHS to DVD and put it online too). I never hand out contact info for the video owners, but I do pass along the contact info for the TV person to the video owners.

You can tell from the quality that the VHS tape had a lot of views. That one's been shown over and over at the DZ for probably 10 years.
