OSHA involvement in fatalities? Was: Fatality *2 - Perris, CA - 31 March 2011

As these were "on the job" fatalities I presume Occupational Health and Safety (or some analogous California body) will be involved. Does anyone have any idea what their general posture has been toward skydiving fatalities in the past?

You are probably wrong. They worked as independent contractors and be of little interest to OHSA.

Never put it past Cal OSHA to dig in to find a way to fine a business. I've prevailed at three administrative hearings where status as an independent contrator was challenged. And OSHA is hurting for money.

Since neither one survived the incident I would say it is a moot point.
There is difference between Cal-OSHA and OSHA.
