I think there are a large group of republicans who really believe the FOXiverse - that liberals support pedophiles who want to make your kids into drag queens*, that they want to snatch your guns, that they want to open the border and put MS-13 in charge of all churches, that they want to take away freedom, honor and Clint Eastwood etc etc.  So for them, supporting any enemy of liberalism makes sense.

(* - and kings?  Not sure of the opposite there.)

Well, for sure. I'd just like a moment of clarity when some of our own have an epiphany.
