Something else, the VA was not able to transfer my records interstate. They are working on it though. You know, government bureaucracy grinds slow. It's been two years but some progress is being made. I received a brief physical exam, cost $15; an aortic ultrasound, cost $50 and a colonoscopy scheduled next month, cost unknown.

My wife and I have supplemental insurance just like most retired folks that paid into the system while employed. We use local physicians for immediate health concerns.

I can only trust the VA, read government, for a bottom line back up.

I'm glad you're able to rceive Medicare, VA care, and SSI, while your need may not be as great as others, it must put you're mind at ease a great deal knowing you have this coverage. It would just be nice to see you advocate for others the same benifits that you rightfully enjoy now.

I do advocate those exact same benefits for others. It's the new give away welfare for political gain that bothers me. Medicare and SS were in place when I started working. I willingly paid in albeit I had no choice. The VA care I earned by serving my country. Prior to Obamacare my Medicare supplement was about $100/mo. Now it is around $250/mo.

BHO opened the flood gates to illegals and welfare recipients to create a tax burden and centralize power. I hope we gain control of the Senate in November. It won't solve all the problems because of the similarity between to two major parties. But maybe, just maybe, we can reverse some of the problems caused by Obamacare. Because we haven't seen or felt the full disastrous impact of that yet.

Don't see anything hypocritical about that.
