BillyVance 34 #26 February 25, 2013 Quote Good job dude! I've been ripped off twice while away from the pad, and on one occasion lost about $3000 in tools and another $1200 in electronics, and had to fix the busted door and the jam as well. Same here dude.... though the amounts lost differs. It sucks. I now have a home alarm system, wireless too. If they cut the power then try to bust inside, the battery operated cell phone still calls the alarm company. Police response here is about 2 minutes, give or take 15 seconds. Police station is 2 miles up the road from me. I know because I forgot the alarm was on when I woke up in the morning and went to let the cat out and didn't hear it going off. What helps is my neighbors across the street are friends with one of the officers, plus they're well armed too. The lady there told me that last week she heard a car pull up to her house and some guy started pounding on her door screaming "come out we wanna talk with you, we know you're in there!" and there were guys screaming from the car too. Fucker was even trying to look into her bedroom window. He couldn't see her due to the drapes but she saw him. They were all black guys. Something about the neighbor down the street, they were pissed off at that neighbor. Anyway, she's a crack shot with pistols and rifles, but luckily didn't have to use them. Police was called, they investigated.
