I would be interested to compare that graph with graph that tracks the increases in cost of living over the same period.

My guess is that the high growth states had equal or greater increases in cost of living in the same period.

Sure I make more in CT than I would in TX or some other state, but lately I feel like the cost of living is far out stripping the income growth!

I am encouraged by the counterpoint responses of rushmc and DougH.

There is hope and change is coming in November.
Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them.

I would like to see comparitable jobs growth and cost of living indexes added to the stats. In liberal states you can fire someone if you give 25% to another worker, 25% to a union, and pay the last 50% in state taxes to cover unemployment insurance.
