Kennedy 0 #1 March 28, 2011 Federal agency recognizes pot for medical use Written by: David Ferguson QuoteMedical marijuana dispensaries currently under fire from the IRS may have been handed a critical new weapon in their fight to stay open. The National Cancer Institute, one of the many federal agencies who make up the National Institute of Health, has ruled that marijuana does in fact have medical benefits, making it the first federal agency to do so. The NCI has issued a statement that in clinical trials, cancer patients successfully treated nausea and vomiting, sleeplessness, pain, and loss of appetite using marijuana. It stated that cannabis was being investigated as having not only a palliative effect on symptoms, but also a possible “direct antitumor effect”. snipwitty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
jgoose71 0 #2 March 28, 2011 It's about time really. Does everyone need to smoke? No. But its been long proven about cancer patience. The most successful cancer hospitals out there have understood that taking a holistic approach along with aggressive medical treatment improves a cancer patients chances. Feeling good mentally, spiritually and emotionally has proved to help time and time again. Being able to eat, sleep, and feel less pain is a huge part of that. THC has been known to induce apoptosis in tumor cells for years. jimbrown 0 #5 March 28, 2011 QuoteIt's about time really. ] You know what it's really about time for? It's about time People realize that the government is subservient to them. It's about time the People decide to behave in their own best interests without fear of government meddling and retribution. It's about time We The People stop waiting for government "permission" and it's time that we stop believing in government "restrictions". It's about time to remember that we are Free People. And if any politician or government official attempts to deny us our Freedom from this day forward, it is time to heat up the tar and pluck the chickens! Peace, Jim B.
