After katrina it was the general consensus that picking yourself up by the bootstraps was the only way for these people to get there shit together. Bush's initial inactions reflected that effort. The last thing we should be doing now is further complicating BP's effort with government intervention. As we all know if deepwater horizon had subject to less regulation and even less oversight this tragedy would surly have been avoided. The DPRK knew this, and torpedoed it knowing we wouldn't do anything because Obama is a muslim, born in kenya, who's socialist agenda is in line with it's own. If that's the case, American Idol is far, far more popular (and therefore by your measure more valid) than any opinion Glen Beck has - no matter what segment of popular entertainment it represents.
