In doing so, Scott doesn't look and grabs the wrong one to the instructors panic! That's when the instructor pulls the proper one but the cutaway cord has already been pulled. He still has a strong case as his hand was FORCED. They should have motioned to him to pull the cord, it's likely he would have looked rather than trust his hand was sent in the right direction.
